Back in 2016 when I started looking for an Artificial Turf company to install landscape turf and a Putting Green in my yard that was just dirt. The closest place could find someone to install Artificial Turf like this was in Miami Florida. There were no options for Synthetic Turf installation near Howell Michigan, so my son and I decided we were going to install the Synthetic turf and Putting Green ourselves. We got every sample of Synthetic Turf that suppliers and manufactures would send to us.
We had hundreds of samples and picked about a dozen samples as our favorites.
Excited about this fake grass, we wanted to learn more!
We headed down to Dalton Georgia where artificial turf is made - And landed on the front door of the largest Turf manufacturer in the country. We toured the mill and watched the Turf making process. We visited a Turf supplier that originally lived in Michigan - But had moved to California and started installing Synthetic Turf in the 1980's. He explained the installation process and steps we had to take for our install. Taking the advice and instruction that we were given, we put our first order in for 14,000 sq ft of turf.
My son and I went to work on our Turf installation.
It was then that we realized how we could help others in Michigan get the Synthetic Turf or Putting Green of their dreams. We thought we can't be the only people that want astroturf installed so we started Engineered Turf Systems Inc.We were taught the installation process from a man with over 40 years of turf experience, And we knew we found a great product to offer. Since we started with our 14,000 sq ft project we have proudly completed over 250 Artificial Turf projects here in Michigan and Ohio.
